He's seen a sensual picture or two, and heard some stuff from his two brothers, but otherwise could be considered borderline asexual. However, his curious nature could lead him to experiment. ...Maybe.

appearance:
With his pale hair and odd eyes, Kadaj has very striking features. He’s very petite--standing at around 5’5”--and very slender at that.

His face borders on childish. Oval-shaped and still soft, it’s innocent in a mad way. Unfortunately his narrow nose, well-defined lips, and pale skin are often obscured by a curtain of silver hair. Cut jaggedly in the front, it falls to his shoulders in subtle, painfully straight layers. It’s lustrous, but sadly makes it more difficult to view one of his better features: his eyes. They’re a bright, almost otherworldly aqua, with flecks of yellow. The odd, slitted pupils only add to their alien look, and framed with dark, long lashes they’re quite captivating and unique.

At times he almost looks delicate, and along with his facial features, could often be considered ‘feminine’. Still, Kadaj isn’t exactly helpless, and his small but well-defined muscles prove it. When it comes to attire, Kadaj has an odd fondness for wearing leather. A lot of leather. Kadaj may hold an air of confidence, but his style is oddly modest. Gloves, a collar zipped up to the base of his neck, his choice in attire is almost an understated defiance. It would be understandable if Kadaj's strange, uniformed style could almost be called militaristic if it weren't for the rebellious way he carried himself.

Yet despite his cold appearance, in my opinion, Kadaj’s expressions are quite fiery. He may act calm, but his emotions are often obvious. They’re fierce. From incensed rage, hopelessness and longing, to bitter betrayal, everything is clear in Kadaj’s face and body language. Often these time it reaches to the point of nearly transforming his appearance altogether, from a eagerly violent but seemingly innocent teenager to a raging, dangerous psychopath.

personality:
Kadaj is a very unstable character. While he often gives the appearance of being calm and in control, if the right subjects are brought up he’ll often turn sadistic and lose all good judgment within a second. While he enjoys violence, he doesn't do it pointlessly. Or, at least that’s what he thinks. Despite being highly intelligent and wise in his own way, Kadaj is still stubborn and more than a little self-righteous,

Other than his volatile nature, one of Kadaj’s most outstanding features would be his determination. When it comes to his goals, Kadaj will go to any means necessary to reach them, ignoring his limits. In his mind he has no limits, and he’ll bring himself to the brink of destruction and a little past that just to prove he’s right/please someone.

Trust is an issue with Kadaj. He despises liars and being lied to--one of his many naïve traits--and while it seems it was always him who was meant to be the leader of the three, he’d usually probably be too untrusting to act as anything else anyway. In fact, his distrust very often borders on hatred. The only exception to this rule is Jenova, his mother. Despite being unreachable, she’s the center of his universe, his existence. He’s a blind follower and he’s used to having her as sort of a guiding light for his actions.

Also, Kadaj often has feelings of inadequacy. Though in the end it only strengthens his drive to prove himself--not only to Jenova, but to everyone.

history:
Kadaj's life would have been privileged. He grew up in California, parents some of the best astrophyicists and genetics expert in the nation. While Loz was a super athlete, and Yazoo was a genius, and his eldest brother, Sephiroth was a mix of both...

Kadaj didn't quite have it in him. Not to his Father's standards, anyway.

But his Mother always encouraged him. He loved his Mother, and despite all of the taunts and alienation he suffered due to his odd appearance, he continued to strive just for her. Always in Sephiroth's shadow, but eventually making a name of his own, even if it was "The Next Sephiroth".

Then Mommy and Daddy seperated, and Kadaj's one reason for trying disappeared.

He became cynical, and even more violent before. He did well enough in school to pass, but he always made trouble. More or less, he was out of control. The one thing he still remained good in was fencing, because he wanted to be famous. Wanted her to see him someday, on the TV.

His father never supported him, so he got a job, and once old enough lived in a crappy little apartment in LA for two years. Life wasn't glamorous, but he hardly cared. Now he's in college, and to him this is just another step.
